One of the most enjoyable cars to drive... the BMW 135i! This car, equipped with a manual transmission and the M package, is also equipped with an aftermarket tune, giving it the ability to burble after letting off the throttle. These cars are a joy to drive because of the n54/55 engine inside of it. This specific car has the n55 engine, which is an inline 6 cylinder, with two turbos, giving the small car it’s big power, 302 hp and 295 lb/ft of torque. Another update on the 1974 2002 Tii project. Currently, the fuel injector is residing in the hands of Pacific Fuel Injectors, where it will get the specialized treatment it needs in order to operate like new! It will be back at Motorspeed West soon, where it will get reinstalled and feel like a totally different car. All that’s left in the shop now is the cylinder head, pictured here with it’s inner workings taken out to be cleaned. #throwbackthursday with this 1972 BMW 2002 Tii. The Tii version of the 2002 gave it an extra 40 hp, resulting in a total 140hp. Not bad for a naturally aspirated 4-cylinder! This specific car has some nice upgrades to it, with some Recaro seats and a Mini 5-speed transmission, swapping the traditional 4-speed. The design of this car will always maintain timeless beauty.
