God's Style Makes Me Smile...

My theory? less prenatal visits and stress that often goes along with them. less 'what ifs' and 'oh maybe we need to induce you" and even more stress and fear!. mama not being pressured to have their babies by a certain date or some other concern the docs have...result: babies can cook as long as they need while their mamas de-stress away from the OB and hospital, prenatal protocols... https://www.nytimes.com//health/coronavirus-premature-birt

We’ve put birth in the same category with illness and disease and it’s never belonged here. Birth is naturally safe, but we’ve allowed it to be taken over by the medical community. ~ Carla Hartley, founder of Trust Birth and Ancient Art Midwifery Institute

YES. now how many hospitals will comply with THIS? sigh...

I honestly think the CDC is full of it. China proved that newborns were fine and IF mama had the virus, nursing said baby gave he/she immunity. this is getting out of hand, imo. i hope no hospital follows this recommendation. Mama check out the hospital before you deliver.... best yet, have your child at home! <3 See more

"Based on the data we have so far, it seems that, for some reason, women including pregnant women experience less severe infection than men. The largest majority of women who contract COVID-19 experience mild to moderate cold or flu-like symptoms (see COVID-19 symptoms here). Based on one small study published in the Lancet, using cases from early in the outbreak in China, of 9 pregnant women studied, symptoms were mild to moderate, none of the women developed severe complications, none died, and their babies were generally healthy." It continues on to say that the risk is that pregnant women are more susceptible to all respiratory infections in general.

ONLY when necessary (to save mama or baby) is intervention needed. Thing is, it's FAR less necessary than most OB's and hospitals will have you believe.
