We just met with a couple of clients who came in to do a trust with us back in 2012. They are both retired now and wanted to make sure that everything they set up was still good to go. It was nice to catch up with them and (after review) let them know that they are still protected and covered in the event something happens.

We will be closed the 24th and 25th to enjoy the Christmas holiday with our families. Merry Christmas to everyone!

I received my notice of recertification from the State Bar today: I'm officially a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law for another five-year term.

We're starting to get calls from business owners who just finished tax season and are appalled at how much they paid in self-employment tax. If you are a sole-proprietorship business owner and are getting nailed with self-employment taxes, give us a call. It may be that you can minimize those taxes with proper business structuring.

It's IT day here at the office--upgrading technology and smoothing off a couple of rough edges. Hopefully tomorrow morning we'll be running leaner and meaner than ever. :)

We just finished a trust signing for a client who originally came in to get started on his project more than five years ago. I think this is a new record for us. Our normal turnaround is about three weeks.
