Delivery day! 40,000 lbs of non-perishable commodities arrived via 53ft Truck from Salt Lake City, Ut and the Central Bishop's Storehouse of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in support of regional food distribution events in Hollister and Gilroy, Ca. Feeling blessed to be able to serve the community and make a dent in our local COVID relief efforts. Stay Safe and God Bless!

National Day of Prayer: in 1755, the Continental Congress released a proclamation to set aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer, and in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May. This Thursday, May 6, Interfaith traditions in our local East Bay communities have come together in a common initiative to recognize this special day of prayer. The tutoring events are gaining in attendance. The Elders and Sisters are doing a great service with Spanish skills to help the Prado Foundation meet the needs of these families in our community.

We are calling for a Stake-wide fast this Sunday. As situations allow, please join us in fasting for: - The winds which are driving the fires to be calmed and to be turned in favorable directions. - The potential for lightning strikes this weekend to be moderated, so that no new significant fires will be started.... - Firefighters and CDF officials will be protected, strengthened and inspired on how to fight these fires most effectively. - The safety of the members of our stake as well as our friends and neighbors and the protection of their homes. We testify of God's love for each of you. He is mindful of what you are going through and he can provide peace of mind even through difficult circumstances. Please let your ministering brothers and sisters know of anything we can do to help. We have all made covenants to bear one another burdens and are happy to help in any way that we can.
