31 years ago this month, Drs. Larry & Liz opened their dental office in Fairfield, Ca. A month prior to the grand opening, a pipe burst destroyed almost all of the interior, which could have devastated their plans. But they kept at it, building a dental home for a community we continue to serve today. Fast forward to 2020, when faced with the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, our dental team strived to stay on top of the latest mandates and protocols to re-open safely an...d provide essential dental care. This week, after much thought and research, we collectively accepted the opportunity to receive the Covid vaccine; for the sake of our dental team, patients, loved ones, and all who step foot into our dental home. We are grateful to NSDS and Northbay for coordinating a streamlined process, and hope that those who seek the vaccine will be next in line. Thank you for entrusting us with your dental care for 30+ years, we aim to continue serving our resilient community for many years to come. Looking forward to seeing you all in good health soon! #dentalteam #dentalhome #familydentistry #generaldentistry #oralhealth #smallbusiness #solanocounty #staysafe
We love our patients, big or small, excited and/or anxious, we see them all! Here’s a sweet review from one of our littles who came in for a visit recently: Thank you Auntie Dentist for cleaning my teeth today. I was scared to go to the dentist but you made me feel comfortable. I love my new stickers! Thank you LB for your thoughtful comments; you made our day! To meet the dental needs of our community, we’ve been taking extra care to open safely during this pandemic. Feel free to call us for our latest schedule offerings; you just might speak to Auntie Dentistherself! For more information, please see the video link in our bio. PC: @annebantique

Hello to our dear patients, team members and colleagues! We look forward to seeing you all again in person and welcome you back to your dental home. Today, Drs. Larry, Liz and Laurel came in to make sure all our rooms are ready for your return. Our website will be updated shortly with all the measures we have taken to enhance your dental experience, such as daily screenings of our team members & scheduled patients, adding a mobile disinfection station, utilizing medical-grade air purifiers and implementing methods to reduce aerosol exposure. Update: I want to clarify something I spoke of regarding dental pain management. -Normally, NSAIDs (eg ibuprofen, used as directed) is the option for dental pain/swelling -HOWEVER, given the Covid-19 conditions worldwide, Acetaminophen (aka Tylenol) is the best option for now because NSAIDs may exacerbate an already fragile Covid-19 positive condition. This if you are unsure about your condition, haven’t been given the test but are suffering dental pain, Tylenol should be yo...ur first line of defense. Join Dr. Laurel live, 7pm PST, all are welcome!
Now is a good time to be focusing on our overall health! To keep good oral habits up remember to brush up twice a day, morning and night for at least two minutes. Softer bristles and soft pressure with easy circular or up-and-down strokes clean more efficiently than blitzing, rushing, and attacking the teeth and gums. And of course, get that floss on! (If you have teeth that touch of course) Your mouth will thank you, and your family and friends will thank you for taking care of your oral hygiene.
Practicing Social Distancing and currently limiting our appointments to emergency visits. Please stay safe out there and contact us if you have any questions or concerns! We’ll keep you posted!
Just a friendly PSA reminder about the spread of the Coronavirus: - Please continue to exercise good hand washing habits - If your hands are dirty, refrain from touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth - Drink plenty of water and get enough rest... - It’s not a bad idea to get your flu shot and take your allergy medicine - If you are feeling under the weather it’s best to stay in and avoid going out; yes including your dental appointment. But please be courteous and contact your office Be smart and stay healthy!

Oranges are high in Vitamin-C, and sweet and juicy! But the acidity from oranges and other fruits can be damaging to the enamel of your teeth if you aren’t too careful, this could lead to teeth sensitivity and even cavities. Should you avoid oranges? No way! They’re delicious and healthy!... A quick tip that we like to share is to follow consumption with a swig and rinse of water. Swish the water around and in between your teeth to help neutralize the acid. Keep in mind lemon-water is slightly more acidic than water without lemons or fruits. And obviously don’t substitute out the gold standard of brushing and flossing regularly. Keep with it, your teeth will thank you! In case you are curious... pH level of oranges 3.69 4.34 pH in the mouth 6.2 - 7.0 Enamel breakdown <5.7
