Prior to joining MC in 2007, Karkare spent 4 years consulting for #Biotech & #pharmaceutical companies in Process Development, Manufacturing & Quality Systems. From 1987 to 2003, Karkare worked for #Amgen in various capacities, starting as a research scientist in cell culture process development & ending as Associate Director in Manufacturing. Karkare started his career in Biotechnology at a New Hampshire start-up company, Verax Corp., where he co-invented and developed their patented fluidized-bed cell cultivation process. He has a Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University & has published over 20 papers in the area of Biochemical Engineering. #Moorparkcollegfoundation will host its first Job Ready Alumni Forum at 6 p.m. This first hour-long panel discussion with Q&A will focus on the Moorpark Colleg...e #Nursing program. Register for the free event at https://cccconfer.zoom.us//regis/WN_DymCD_CFR-Wh3nrqJe5ykg Panelist Gabriel Guillen, RN Coordinator, Palliative Care, at Dignity Health graduated from the MC nursing program in 2009 with his RN degree and transferred to #CSUCI for his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). As the son of Mexican American farmworkers, Gabriel harvested lemons with his parents and two older brothers to support his education. Today, as the first in his family to attend college, Gabriel advocates for health equity as a community health education supervisor for Dignity Health's St. John's Hospitals.
