Candle making is truly exhilarating and I am so blessed to be on this journey! I am very passionate about creating scents and delivering an excellent product. But I am also passionate about supporting other entrepreneurs so I am going to share the top three tips to getting started in candle making! First, you'll need a supportive community that will help you when your candles stop working - it will happen! - and celebrate the small victories with you. I recommend trying out... different Facebook Groups and meeting a mentor. Secondly, you'll need to invest in a candle making kit from a reputable supplier (not Amazon!) such as CandleScience or The Wooden Wick Co. Test out your candles and see if it's something you'd have fun doing on a large scale. Lastly, if you fall in love with candle making, you'll need to invest in a gram scale (not a regular kitchen scale!) and a heat gun. These tools will help you make accurate measurements later down the road, which will be super important! Bonus tip: if you can't afford professional candle making tools, try the baking section at your local craft store! Candle making is very similar to baking and can sometimes use the same tools. Showcasing my candles and scents at local farmer's markets is my absolute favorite part of my week - I get to meet my clients face to face and they get to try the testers, ask me questions and chit chat about life! ... I love seeing return customers, though. We met the gorgeous Ashley Rose who's a hairstylist and she showed us her creations on IG. That was a lot of fun, talking to her and getting to know her. With a new season come new and exciting changes! I am always working on expanding and perfecting the products @moongrovegoods offers and you my friends, are my biggest inspiration for this! Two new products will join this close knit family! Perfume rollers and tealights will become available in June! ...
