7 Day Early Morning Prayer Challenge - Seeking God Daily for 7 Days in the Psalms Day 2 Psalm 46:10-11... Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold [our refuge, our high tower]. Slow down. Breathe. Let the swirl of things in your head take a back seat and know (recognize) the God who loves you . Consider how your day will be different as you remember that God is with you and is a stronghold. Jesus said, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock and if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in and eat with them and they with me." Breakfast with God. Who is on your heart this morning? What in your home, community or country is causing you stress this morning? Tell God about who is on your heart and what is causing you stress. Then be quiet and remember who God is. If you enjoy this time in prayer, share this invitation with others.

God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas, Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains tremble at its roaring. As you consider the fact that God is our refuge (place of security) and strength (one who is impenetrable), that God is always present and is well-proved in times of trouble.... Pray for the person/people who are on your heart this morning. Pray for those things in your life that create stress in your home, community and country. If you find encouragement in prayer, share or repost this daily challenge so others might find what you have found.

We are going to explore what happens when the foundational principles of faith are challenged by the political leader in the realm in which a person of faith lives and serves I suspect for many of us, this is a critical question. ... And here’s the surprising part, the text is not primarily about politics, even though it is set in the context of a political leader, but rather it is about deciding our primary identity in the midst of a highly dangerous theological and political decisions. The Three Amigos (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) plus their Savior in the fire, will give us lots to think about and we'll see how the the power and love of God carries them in challenging times...which brings glory to the Savior.
