Attention Monterey businesses! On September 15th, CalRecycle adjusted the threshold for AB 1826 Mandatory Commercial Organics Recycling (MORe). All businesses with 2 cubic yards of garbage service per week are required to recycle organic waste. To add organic waste services to your account, please call MCDS at (831) 372-7977. AB 827 mandates that businesses subject to Mandatory Commercial Recycling (AB 341) or Mandatory Commercial Organics Recycling (AB 1826) include clearly labeled recycling and composting bins for customers.
