Monterey County Resource Management Agency 29.11.2020

Monterey County Health Officer has issued a Stay at Home Order, effective 10:00 pm Sunday, December 13, 2020. The Stay at Home Order includes the closure of overnight accommodations at Lake San Antonio. All campgrounds and lodging units will close until January 11, 2021. Day Use areas will remain open at North Shore and South Shore; and launch areas will remain open at South Shore at posted hours. Los Robles Equestrian Center as well as the Lake San Antonio North Shore trail system will remain open to Day Use guests, however the kitchen and campgrounds will close.

Effective Monday 12/7/2020, the Regional Stay at Home Order caused the closure of overnight accommodations at Lake Nacimiento. All campgrounds and lodging units were closed, until the Stay at Home Order lifts, or the State announces changes. Day Use areas and Launch Ramps will remain open to San Luis Obispo County residents only. Residents should be prepared to show their ID at the Entry Gate in order to be admitted into the park.

OVER-THE-COUNTER APPROVAL FOR A MINISTERIAL PERMIT TO ALLOW TEMPORARY MODIFICATIONS TO ENABLE PHYSICAL DISTANCING WHILE PHYSICAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES ARE IN EFFECT. The Board of Supervisors adopted Urgency Ordinance No. 5332, allowing temporary ministerial permit amendments to provide for outdoor seating or staging areas within other developed portions of the site. The use is temporary and will not intensify existing conditions beyond the limits of the approved permit or ...create new impacts. RMA has developed a ministerial (over-the-counter) procedure to apply for such amendments, with a processing fee of $590. Temporary modifications may include, but are not limited to, allowing outdoor seating or staging areas within other developed portions of the site (parking or landscaped areas), construction or installing temporary structures to accommodate the modified operations, or relocation of uses within the site. The process involves completing a Design Approval Application to include a narrative and/or plan that describes the modifications requested and description how the proposed amendment will comply with the criteria. Today the California Department of Public Health posted metrics for the counties. Monterey County continues to be in the Widespread or Purple tier. This week's... adjusted case rate is 9.9/100,000, this rate needs to be 7/100,000 or less for two weeks for the county to move to the next tier.
