(Sea, Air, Fire & Earth) Aeronautics Pathway, a partnership between the Monterey County Office of Education Alternative Programs and the Bob Hoover Academy, creates opportunities to inspire and engage high school students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) education with an emphasis on transportation and aviation. The unique program features: * Highly-qualified teachers * Small class si...ze with paraprofessional support * Access to an A-G Common Core Standards Based digital learning platform * All students provided with Chromebook and WiFi hotspot, when needed * Career Technical Education (CTE) specific curriculum * Ability to concurrently enroll in college courses * Digital and in-person tutoring support * Special services and case management are available to meet each individual student's needs Each student earns admission into our flight training program by excelling in our ground training curriculum. With schools continuing to receive new metrics, guidelines and mandates from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the State of California, we understand parents, students, community members, and school employees may have questions about when and how schools can reopen, under what circumstances, and what might cause schools to close again. Each of the 24 districts and eight charter schools in Monterey County is responsible for developing and implementing its own reopening plan. Each school’s situation is different, and we know that reopening campuses will require a lot of planning and preparation to keep students, families, and staff members safe.
