Fitness center ( only ) is closed. As most of you probably know from the news.....Alameda County backed up two color tiers to Purple. Everything remains the same as before....pools are open. Restrooms open for sinks and toilets only. Please still social distance, wear masks......& simply come.....swim.....& go home as before. We will update you via emails and here any new updates or changes. ... Be well, and stay safe!

Pool will be open Wednesday morning at 6:00AM 10/28 resuming our regular hours. Power turned back on at 8:00pm Tuesday night. Water should be up to normal temp in the morning.

CLUB IS CLOSING SATURDAY NIGHT at 6:30PM PG&E warnings indicate power will be turned off at our club before 8pm. We will close at sundown for safety reasons. CLUB IS CLOSED POWER OUTAGE In anticipation of high winds, more dry air and possible electrical fires, PG&E has turned off power throughout the Montclair hills overnight and The Montclair Swim Club is closed. The fitness room has now reopened for limited use. Please respect required rules for keeping everyone safe. The staff will be happy to answer any questions.

OCTOBER NOTE FROM JIM Saturday morning 10/10 the ACPHD is allowing us to open the Fitness Center on a limited basis. If members resume the same usage as you have with the pool lanes, this should go fairly easy for us. (Thank you!!) We can easily allow up to FIVE (5) adults at a time in the Fitness Center. If it's "full" (5 members are using the gym), please wait in the BBQ area until someone leaves. Masks are required when in the Fitness Center. Now.....if you're like me you ...may be a little out of shape. Please take it easy and know that wearing a mask while working out is quite different and will affect cardio exercising. So, go easy and please remember to wait until rapid breathing calms down before removing masks to hydrate. Also, for your safety and others, you will see plenty of antiseptic wipes. Please wipe down your machines before and after each use. Staff will do periodic cleanings too, in all areas of the club. Locker rooms and showers remain closed at this time. Locker rooms can only be used for toileting and washing hands. Masks are required while the locker rooms. Chairs: We still can't share chairs and umbrellas.....but members CAN bring their own chairs to sit around the pool. Again, masks and social distancing are required at all times while not swimming.

MONDAY September 14th UPDATE THE MONTCLAIR SWIM CLUB IS CLOSED TODAY... Due to bad air conditions we must close the club again today. We plan to resume regular hours TUESDAY if air quality is safe. Air Quality Index got worse overnight. Montclair hills by our club is still in very unhealthy zone ( 180-200 AQI ) and we will update members here of any changes. Thank you

We will resume regular hours Monday, ONLY IF air quality is safe. We are hopeful the AQI is in the < 150 range. We will post a notice in the morning. ... Thank you
