SCAM ALERT With everything going on in today's economy, scammers are rampant and it's only getting worse! We urge all of you to please pay extra attention to who is calling you, sending you texts, and even mail by fake companies. ****TIPS:***** 1. We suggest that if you don't know the number that is calling, don't pick up. If they leave a message, call back the company they say they are from - not the number they called you from. 2. Use search engines numbers that are calli...ng you. 3. Use search engines the companies that they say they are from (whether you got a text, letter, etc) 4. Fraud Alert review these important tips to mitigate risk: -Never provide any caller with a password or your full social security number -Ask the caller for t...heir call-back number. Use this information to validate their identity. -Do not rely solely on the information they provide you. -Research the phone number before calling them back. -Do not respond to a call by sending your personal information or that of your client to any unfamiliar party. -Use only established fax numbers, secure upload portals or encrypted email. REMEMBER: Most companies do not typically ask for confidential information unless they are assisting you with a specific business case; when in doubt, use caution to protect yourself. #fraud #mitigaterisk #riskprevention #scams #retirement #seniorscams #seniorfraud
