This is yet another example of the good work BFEF does in the community. Good fishin' is good for business! We are peased to support BFEF!

The Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation (BFEF) does so many great things for the Bridgeport Community. That's why we support them - and make them the beneficiary again this year for our 12th Annual Western BBQ & Concert - We're Back - September 4th!! More information to follow - but happy to support BFEF!!

If you haven't already done so, MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR JUNE 26TH 2021 for the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation Trout Tournament. The FMF is proud to support BFEF in all of their endeavors. This is a great local event, and a great place to spend the weekend!

This is a tough fund-raising year for the 4th of July Committee since they are not having their traditional dinner. For that reason FMF has TRIPLED our usual donation and are happy to contribute $1,500! Please help if you can to maintain this iconic 4th of July celebration! Lynda and JR agree!

Brian is an active member of the Fishin' Mission Foundation and sits on our board as a director. He lives in Colorado and is a fishin' machine. He's apparently tuning up for our 48th Annual Fishin' Mission in Bridgeport this June - although I hope the weather will be better. :)

Congratulations to all the recipients, both business and resident members named to the Mountain View Fire Volunteers who received the first-ever Mono County Community Service Spirit Award this morning at the Board of Supervisors Meeting. We did what we could to help financially, but nothing compares to this group of volunteers that are still working so hard to help their friends and neighbors recover from this horrible fire. Congratulations!

We hope that everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving holiday, but our thoughts are with those that have been impacted by the Mountain View Wildfire. We have combined efforts with our partner fishing group Fish-O-Rama and have been fund-raising together to try to help. Our goal was $10,000 and I'm pleased to say we have already exceeded $9,000 towards that goal and now hope to do even more. We will be forwarding those funds in the next few days to help those impacted by this h...orrible fire. We hope it will help a little in allowing those impacted to recover.

After two cancellations, some of the founding members of the Fishin' Mission Group finally made it to Bridgeport on September 23rd - for some good times fishin' on their 47th Annual Fishin' Mission!

Since many of the Fishin' Mission group were in Bridgeport this week, FMF President Gary Walker and the group took a minute out from fishin' to present Ray Robles from Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation with a $4,000 donation. We still support BFEF, even though we had to cancel our Western BBQ this year! They do great work keeping fish abundant in the Bridgeport Community!

We are so proud to be able to help this organization in their efforts to keep stocking the local waters to support the Bridgeport Community! We will actually be presenting an additional donation to them next week while some of us are in town! BFEF ROCKS!

Our prayers are with the firefighters and all others are trying so desperately to put these fires down!

We also appreciate everything Jim Reid, his family, and Ken's Sporting Goods does for the Bridgeport Community. We are proud to have Jim "JR" Reid on the FMF Board of Directors - helping to guide our decisions to help the community.

This is why FMF supports BFEF! Awesome Trout Tournament!

Due to growing concerns regarding the spread of Covid-19 and the potential risks of contributing to that spread through our 11th Annual Western BBQ & Concert, the FMF has reversed its earlier decision and has now decided to CANCEL OUR WBBQ&C for 2020. We are certainly disappointed, but believe it is the best path forward. We are already making plans to financially support the Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation (BFEF) through direct funding, to replace the contribution th...at we would have made out of the net-proceeds from the event. That way BFEF can continue their great stocking efforts which we all agree are beneficial to the entire community. We will be back stronger in 2021 and sponsor an event that will be twice as good! Be safe!

The FMF Board met last week and, after an in-depth discussion regarding the Covid-19 conditions in Bridgeport and review of the CDC requirements in California, has decided to move forward with our 11th Annual Western BBQ & Concert on Saturday, September 5th at the Bridgeport Ranch. Great BBQ, Great Music, Raffles and more - as we raise funds for your Bridgeport Fish Enhancement Foundation! Hope to see you there - more information coming so watch this space!

We are hoping that this BFEF Trout Tournament moves forward as planned. It's a great event and is a great fund raiser for BFEF! Another fund raising event for BFEF is over Labor Day Weekend when FMF sponsors their Western BBQ & Concert to benefit BFEF. We are hoping to be able to move forward with that event too!

Congratulations to the three high school graduates receiving the FMF/FOR Scholarship Awards of $1,000 each - and to the two recipients of the Continuing Education Scholarships which are also $1,000! We couldn't present personally - but we present them here! You make Bridgeport PROUD!

With the impact of Covid-19, graduation as well as award presentations were a little out of the norm this year. We have taken to email and postal mail to get scholarships into the hands of recipients. On behalf of the Fishin' Mission Foundation and Fish-O-Rama who focuses so diligently on educational support, we offer our congratulations!
