Here is a rundown of our current lodge hours for the lounge and the office!

Just a reminder that there is NO dinner tonight at the lodge! Cook crews are getting a well-deserved weekend off! Our member lounge will be open though....so come on down!

The Elks prompted President Woodrow Wilson to recognize the Order's observance of Flag Day for its patriotic expression. But it was not until 1949 when Presiden...t Harry Truman, himself a member of the Elks, made the proclamation that thereafter June 14 would be a day of national observance for the symbol of our country. Due to a work-related scheduling conflict, Anna-Marie will not be in the Secretary's office until about 5:45 this evening. She will be working until 7pm to accommodate any member needs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We know that some of you are still not comfortable coming down to the lodge, or just not able to....but we still have some volunteer opportunities for you! There are so many committees and ways that you can still be involved from home! We need people to help the membership committee by making phone calls and reaching out to members.... You could help the investigation committee with processing new member candidates. You could help our Second Step committee by reaching out to members with volunteer opportunities. Got some tech savvy? You could help create flyers or weekly email blasts. The Public Relations committee could use some help in getting out the word about the amazing things we do! We are sorry to announce that we will be cancelling the 4th Wedneday lunch for October. Your lodge officers have been working very hard to try and get this covered, but it just won't happen this month. We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to cooking for this event every month so we won't have to do this again. ... If you are available, please leave a message in the lodge office.

PER Cheryl Phillips was finally able to give out her end of year awards at tonight's meeting! Jose Garcia was recognized as Citizen of the Year for his work with homeless Veterans. Anna-Marie Bratton, PER was recognized as Officer of the Year. ... Congratulations and thank you PER Cheryl for your graceful leadership in the 2019-2020 year.

Tomorrow is our general membership meeting! We will be discussing the business of the lodge, and voting on some officer and member positions. This is open to all current members, but you will need to request the zoom link by email to [email protected]... This is not open to delinquent members, spouses or widows.

We have some exciting news! Watch your emails for more details, but effective immediately we will be offering an inside dining option for members on Friday and Monday nights! Yes, we will still be having our Friday Night Drive Thru dinner, but now you have the option of eating it onsite with both patio and lounge seating available! ... Also, we are inviting you back for general membership meetings starting next Tuesday, October 20th! We will still have the meetings available by zoom for those who are unable to attend. More information will be coming out shortly by email.... We are so excited to able to make these changes and are earnestly working on more opportunities to have you down at your Modesto Elks #1282!
