To our valued clients, We want you to know as a liveaboard family that we understand holding tanks fill quickly when spending extra time at home. We also know that often times the only alternative is to use the community marina restrooms. To that end, we are committed to maintaining our regular service schedule as long as possible without interruption. We discussed how to proceed with our team and our techs agreed that they’d prefer to keep working. The job is quite solitary..., and they have protective gear. A few suggestions to help us help you. 1. If you are sick, even with a cold, please let us know ASAP as it will allow us to be doubly prepared for sanitizing. We will NOT stop service to your vessel. 2. Please do your best to manage your tank. The old adage if it’s yellow, let it mellow. If it’s brown flush it down. is applicable in our situation as boaters. More flushes means more water in the tank which means it will fill faster and likely overfill. For proper ventilation of your system and to avoid exploding tanks, our recommended scheduling rotation is at 75% of capacity. You can track your service usage amounts on your online BayGreen account. 3. DO NOT OVERFILL YOUR TANK. It will erupt on deck and require additional cleaning, not to mention putting our techs even further into harms way. Due to the extra sanitation requirements during this time as well as to encourage everyone to avoid this icky and dangerous situation, our exploding tank fee will be raised to $500 per occurrence. Repeat offenders will be refused further service. It’s never been a pleasant part of the job, but now it’s downright hazardous. As mentioned, please help us help you. 4. Show some love to the techs. If you see our techs, please give them a wave, a smile, or some other kind of friendly support. They are already doing a job that not many would ever want - and they do it well. If not for them, we’d all be in a deep stuff. And for those who tip, please be sure to seal it in an envelope or plastic baggie before handing it to them.
