Me, Myself & Mine Natural Haircare EducationThursday, March 22, 2018 The Me, Myself and Mine Natural Hair Care Program is: Social issue: There is a significantly greater proportion of African American children in foster care than children of other races and ethnicities. Many are placed with parent that do not understand the African American culture and do not understand how to maintain kinky hair.... Vision: To create self awareness and pride in kinky curly hair care. Mission: To develop curly haircare education and workshops in Southern California that build curly hair personal happiness and pride. Helps create self awareness and pride in kinky curly hair care and to develop kinky curly hair care workshops in Southern California that build personal happiness and pride. Our program focuses on educating proper hair care and maintenance to build resilience, life skills and improve social and cultural connectedness. Feeling better about your self and confident about your hair can increase academic success, improve work performance and stop our youth from being dependent on weaves or braids to go out into society. Our workshops are hands-on, each participant will leave with new experience and understanding of thier hair and how their hair effects thier life. See more
