The Modesto Junior College Community Concert Band presents a Fall Concert on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Main Auditorium on East Campus, 435 College Avenue, Modesto. There will be no permit required for campus parking around the Auditorium for the evening. The Concert Band, conducted by Director of Bands Erik Maki, will perform In Flight by Samuel R. Hazo, To Tame the Perilous Skies by David R. Holsinger, Rushmore by Alfred Reed, Canticle of the Creatures by Jim Curnow and Festivata by Elliot Del Borgo. The Modesto Junior College Department of Music presents the Symphonic Band in Concert on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 7 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Performing Art Center on East Campus, 435 College Avenue, Modesto. The event is open to the public and admission is free, with donations gratefully accepted. There will be no permit required for campus parking around the Auditorium for the evening. Director of Bands Erik Maki will conduct the ensemble as they perform a wide vari...ety of music for modern wind band. The program includes Fortress by Frank Tichelli, Parade of the Clichés by Livingston Gearhart, Military March by Ludwig van Beethoven and arranged by Berkowitz, Symphonic Prelude: Eternal Father by Elliot Del Borgo, Galop by Dmitri Shostakovich and transcribed by Donald Hunsberger, and Grand Serenade for an Awful Lot of Winds and Percussion by P.D.Q.
