D A H L I A S Yesterday’s break in the rain was the perfect opportunity to get out and pull some dahlia tubers. The soil was moist and loose allowing most clusters to lift out intact. Of course that wasn’t the case for all and I had several break off underground that had to be fished out. Hard to believe that each of these photos started out as ONE lonely tuber planted in the spring!!! These will rest in the shed for a bit before I start splitting them off to prepare fo...r replanting. If you are curious about splitting, YouTube has great videos!!
