Trump wants to send out a message that COVID19 is a fainting and fleeting disease, by advocating that schools reopen in the Fall. This is all a political ploy f...or his re-election (you go first, Mr. Trump; send your son Barron). He wants to be able to tout he took control of the economy and COVID by re-opening schools. This is all for his personal political gain; not for the security/safety of our children. The truth is by pretending that all is well; does not intimidate COVID. The CDC also differs with Trump's assessment. The limited loss of academics, pales in comparison to the effects, on the body organs, this disease leaves behind; not the mention the possibility of death! It is so, so sad and a shame that we have to beg, our government, to save our children's lives. I am a LAUSD mom, and I am not too proud to beg. LAUSD, please, please do not send our children back to school in the Fall, because..."THEIR/OUR LIVES MATTER!" ---Elizabeth Badger---
