I think it's time to admit that I'm terrible at keeping up with social media. Facebook has been reminding me "You haven't posted anything for a while." So here you go, Facebook algorithms, I hope this makes you happy. :) My infrequent posting; however, has nothing to do with the joy I feel when working with a fun and loving family like this one. These were taken a few months' ago, back when it was still warm enough to stand outside without a jacket at Crissy Fields!

I've been trying to squeeze in as much work as possible these past few months between vacations and a crazy summer camp schedule, and I realized today that I haven't posted here for awhile. While this social media break wasn't deliberate, I have to admit it's been a nice change of pace. But, time to get back to business! These newlyweds were such a joy to work with! I just love the early evening light near the SF Bay. Can you feel the ?

Two of my favorite people just got married after being together for 20 years! I couldn't have been more thrilled to be a part of this incredible day.

Ocean Beach, S.F. Growing up, I hung out at Baker Beach with my friends, making campfires, trying to avoid seeing too much nude volleyball, and generally goofing around. But as an adult, I'm starting to appreciate Ocean Beach more and more. Way less crowded and amazing sunsets!

Reposting this, because FB keeps making duplicate posts and now both posts are gone! So, here we go again... Ocean Beach, SF

Such a sweet family. Can you feel the love?

I've been spending so much time behind the camera and at my computer reviewing and editing photos, that I have yet to share many of my holiday sessions....So, here is some holiday cheer in March. What a smile, right?

As much as I love being behind the lens, being able to get to know my clients and to see them grow and change through the years is a wonderful and unexpected benefit of my job. It was my second time photographing this family (a holiday session), and since we already had a "connection," they were able to relax and have fun right from the start. A family photographer is more than someone who snaps a button and says "cheese." In addition to the training and skills needed to operate the equipment, it's equally important that your photographer takes the time to get to know you. With many of my clients, I feel like we become friends during our time together. Partly because of that connection, I become more invested in making sure they are comfortable at the session and happy with the results.

Hoping for an outdoor photo session, but the weather just won't cooperate? The S.F. Conservatory of Flowers is a great option for a cold, rainy day, and the foliage is lush and beautful!

I'm just coming up for air after photographing countless families over the holidays...I get so focused on photographing and editing (lots of late nights), I tend to put social media on the back burner...which isn't always a bad thing! Here are a few from a local SF family (including their adorable puppy, Ziggy), enjoying the afternoon at the Palace of Fine Arts.

Photographing kids is the best. I love capturing these moments. :)
