From Miner St. Meat Market: It’s time to brag...not about ourselves but about our COMMUNITY. I was challenged by the selfless actions of Melanie Duncan of Crumbs Bakery with her tremendous support of the Woodruff/Shinar Family tragedy. It prompted us to offer a month long fundraiser during the month of April...and our AWESOME customers responded like we thought they would. The results are in... For the month we donated $1 for each single soda or beer sold. In addition, we had... our Rusty Bucket for cash & coin donations. We ended up with $963 plus $142.77 for a total of $1,105.77. We deposited this into the local account at Siskiyou Central Credit Union today. Our beautiful daughter learned her first lesson about giving to others and hearing about a family and kids going through some really tough times. Keep them in your prayers. You can hear a lot of people complaining about Yreka...but one thing we do right...we take care of each other when it counts. I’m grateful to be in a position to help where we can.
