Remember these tiny kittens that were our first orphaned litter of the season? Three of them when you their furever homes today! One calico left.
He’s got a home! Help us get him there!!!
Fresh paint and new flooring going in at the mutt hut!!! We are super excited. It’s been a hard year on the whole world but we are still trying to do all we can for the animals in need. We are hoping these improvements will make them even more comfortable when they come to us.
Momma took right to the orphans!!!! Please consider a donation to help with mommas food and their medical care.
This first photo is of Canoli on June 21, 2019 just after her arrival to the ranch with her puppies. By September 2019 all her puppies had homes but Canoli stayed for another year and a half before she found her people. The second photo is of a very spoiled Canoli, big change from a street dog from TJ. Rescue is hard, burnout is real and the animals keep coming. The past two years have been extremely difficult. We had an exceedingly long battle over permits that we have won,... but we need to finish our zoning compliance. In order to comply we have to install new fencing and some new foliage. The plants are easy, but the fencing is not. We finally have a start date in May, now the big challenge...raising the funds. The fencing supplier has generously given us 1/2 off of materials, and the installer is giving us a great rate also but it’s still A LOT of money. We need to raise $20,000 for materials and an additional $20,000 for installation. The first part has to be a lump sum the second we can make payments as they install so our first goal is $20,000. Help us continue our work!
***transport found*** we will be picking them up tomorrow in Ventura. It’s kitten season and I just got a call from Long Beach that 4 kittens need our help! Anyone able to transport from Long Beach to Ventura???? The must get out today or be euthanized. Even if someone can just pick up for us today we can arrange travel in the am. At 4 weeks these guys are starting to drink milk from a bowl and eat wet food.... Please help!
Pupdate!!! Radar clearly isn’t enjoying life! About 3.5 years ago Kiki was looking to adopt a companion dog. She lived part time in a travel van between sessional jobs. No rescue would give her a chance. A mutual acquaintance introduced us and I had two dogs I felt would work for her. It was love at first sight for her and Radar. ... Now the are settled up north and Radar has a pack of k9 siblings, don’t tell them but he’s still mommas favorite! Rescue isn’t easy but these stories make it all worth while!
Canoli found her people a d she’s super spoiled already!
To close out 2020....Pumpkin was adopted and has made the couch her home! She’s a queen and needs two pillows to be comfy.
As one gets a home usually it’s quickly replaced by one needing rescue. RJ is with the most amazing family and this cutie, Dude, just joined us at the ranch. So far he has met all the kids including the baby, who is wonderful with, big dogs and small dogs with no issues. I think he is Pekinese crossed with King Charles but who knows. He’s fixed and healthy, by his teeth I’d say he’s 3-5. ... Welcome to the ranch Dude.
Merry Christmas from RJ and his new family! Our very own Christmas miracle!!!
These ladies have made an Amazon wish list for all their friends at the rescue ranch! Link in comments, and don’t forget to order thru Amazon smile with Milton’s mutts as your charity of choice.
