I'll be in LA next three days visiting labs and will have some flexible time on Fri. Will be between Chatwood Hills and Pasadena. Message me if you'd like to hear about Microclone Tissue Culture at your store or commercial facility.
MJ Biz was a great place to meet and share with many of the Microcloners, the experienced users. Got some new tips on speeding up the process. One user has made an automatic media tube filler. We are going to work on filling entire tray at once. The experienced users were eager to share their tips and answer questions from newbies.
Mobile automated rooting rack made of Microclone Rack Trays. Made by Mike Elola at Lucky Garden in Dublin. A single pump fills the upper tray to overflow, which then fills the tray below it, and so on. A second drain fitting flush to the bottom of the tray slows drainage with a control fitting to allow complete draining of the tray. Lucky Garden is a great hydroponic store with lots of healthy plants and also has aquaponic and reconditioned equipment showrooms next door.
A new user who will be transporting genetics asked about shipping clones or seeds. I answered: "Seeds are most practical before you start to culture. Later, the tubes are ideal for clone transportation. Tubes that prove clean after a few weeks can be drained of liquid media, taped and shipped with the plant still growing even in the shipping envelope. "
