I've had SO MANY people reach out to me and/or leave comments wondering why there is a shorter version of the Kohl's commercial running that DOESN'T feature my hopscotching delivery guy character. I thought I'd try to explain what's going on there so you'll know there's nothing "nefarious" going on, LOL! I am in NO WAY in the loop for the decisions by the advertisers but they often cut different "versions" of commercials to fit into different running lengths and / or to appea...l to different markets. For example, a 30 second commercial is more expensive to air than a 15 second one. In this case, my character was featured in the "full length" 30 second version that tells that whole "story" but then they created a shorter 15 second (I'm guessing) version where they don't have the time to tell that particular "story". It also usually (but not always) indicates they are starting to phase out the commercial / campaign in general. Does that all make sense? They simply don't have the time to tell the "hopscotching delivery guy and the little girl" version of the story in a 15 second slot. So they made an alternative version that focuses on different things. The good news is the full length version will always be posted here so you can take a peek at it anytime you want to! I'm very proud to be a part of it and am so happy (and surprised) to see how much joy this has actually brought to SO MANY people! Some are even apparently complaining to Kohl's about me being cut out of the shorter version, so that just tickles me to no end! Thank you all for your concern, but it's all good, folks! It's just the way The Biz works!
I’ll be appearing with these fine folks tonight, 6pm PST as we take a twisted visit to Hell, California Why don’t you (virtually) join us HERE: https://youtu.be/QIDzegqT6lY

This guy was in Groundlings classes with me when I first was dipping my toe into that and was absolutely ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED and self-motivated creators I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with since getting back into this stuff. Congrats on this recognition, Shane Hartline!!!
My Eddie Van Halen story: Not too long after I moved to LA I went to go see the Special Edition re-release of Return of the Jedi It had actually been back in theaters a bit so by the time I finally got around to seeing it I believe it was in its last week of shows and not in first first run theaters. I went by myself to a matinee at some random strip-mall in the Valley. The theater was, to my memory, entirely empty aside from me and a family of three that came in after the p...reviews started and sat two rows in front of me, slightly to my left: Eddie , Valerie Bertinelli, and their son, Wolfgang (he was 5 or 6 or so?). Wolfgang enjoyed the movie as near as I could tell and Valerie was definitely a hands-on mom, kinda bustling to see his needs were met, whispering to him throughout the film, etc. (of COURSE I was paying attention to them!... I’d seen Jedi a dozen times so this early celebrity sighting in my LA experience was quite the novelty!). Anyway, about halfway through the film a hear a rumbling come from their seats and realized... Eddie has fallen asleep... and was snoring... loudly. I got a sense of embarrassed gritted teeth from Bertinelli, but I didn’t care. I thought it was funny. They roused him and left when the credits hit. I didn’t bug them or anything... I always stay for the credits. #RIPEddie
This is very exciting: I voiced ALL the characters on the original pitch for this waaaay back when... it’s been through many twists and turns since, but it’s finally found a home at HBOMax!!! A big CONGRATULATIONS to Cottonwood Media for making it happen! Proud to have had a teenie little role in the birth of this baby!

A Post From My Dad, Mike King Sr. I thought would be good to share. Please help if you can! Hello Friends, For the next 24 hours the ABC television network in support of the American Red Cross is sponsoring a "Day Of Giving" . The purpose of the event is to raise much needed funds for the people who have suffered from the California wildfires. ... As y'all know, I have been affiliated with the American Red Cross for as long as I have lived in the Coachella Valley, and prior to that in Houston Texas. I am doing a Zoom interview today at Noon with KESQ in which I will make the following announcement: Jackie Autry (Gene Autey’s widow), a loyal supporter of the Red Cross, has agreed to match, dollar for dollar, donations from Coachella Valley residents up to a total of $50,000.00. Stated very simply if you donate $25.00 it automatically becomes $50.00 with Jackie's matching. I don't know when my interview will air on KESQ, so I am sending this note highlighting what is occurring, and asking for your donations. (My guess is the interview will air this evening) If you want to donate the phone number is 1-866-499-GIVE. If you prefer to donate on line the address is redcross.org/abc. There are more than 10,000 evacuees that we are feeding, clothing and sheltering with the assistance of more than 1000 Red Cross volunteers. Our commitment is that your money will go directly to the area where it is most needed. Thanks greatly for your consideration, and your friendship, Mike King
I would say something here but I don’t want to start an online celebrity feud with the wonderful Kelly Clarkson. #AmericasSweetheart
Hey y’all. This is my sister, Bridget King Core. I’m sharing this because I can’t even begin to tell you how full my heart is to see her looking so happy and healthy, truly a 180 from several decades of health (and life) stuff. She is an inspiration to me in the true sense of the word. Maybe she can be one to you, too? I LOVE YOU, BRIDGET!! Her words below: Today is the 4 month mark since I decided to take control of my health! I’ve lost 60 pounds, pushe...d my Crohn’s disease into remission, relieved my sciatica pain, and lowered my blood pressure. I’m embracing my middle-age, but with a conscience decision to be the best 46 year old I can be. There’s still time to still improve ourselves and feel fantastic, living the second half of our lives as our BEST half. If you feel like me, TIRED OF BEING TIRED, tired of struggling to just function & you’re ready to be better and to feel better, hit me up! I’m still in the midst of my journey and I’m not stopping until I get there. Shout out to my health coach Heather. I’m so entirely grateful for you helping me get here! See more
