Mezbaan Bar and Indian Cuisine

Thanks Lia for the great Review: http://www.yelp.com//mezbaan-bar-and-indian-cuisine-santa- I go to Rivermark Plaza at least twice a week for a long time and never tried Mezbaan since the entrance is so ugly. I decided to try the buffet today and was delighted by the experience. The restaurant is clean and sitting area is very comfortable. Service is perfect: fast, polite, not intrusive. ... Now to the food. There is a very fresh salad plate to start, several different vegetarian and non vegetarian appetizers, tons of entrees and fresh bread delivered to the table. I tried almost all vegetarian and my husband tried the non vegetarian options and we both loved it and will come back. The best part for me was the gulab jamun, warm, sweet, delicious... one of the best I've ever had. Some people complained about the price here but I don't agree, at least for the buffet. I spent around $15/person ordering drinks and I ate so much it's definitely worth it.

Sangamesh, Thanks for the great review on yelp: Awesome service and excellent food!!! Would have liked bit more salt in my food so I helped myself with some of the table salt. Overall excellent experience and will be back whenever I can.

Thanks to Karan http://www.yelp.com/user_details for greatreview on yelp: Been here a couple of times. Once for the lunch buffet and the other for dinner. Their buffet was amazing, most of the dishes were cooked to perfection. A must try is their "chicken lahori", it might be a little on the spicier side but definitely worth the try. Would highly recommend anyone in search for a good restaurant in the South Bay.

It's so pathetic that in the Bay Area all the good authentic Indian places have low ratings while crappy joints are BOMB according to all the yelpers. This place deserves 5 stars!!! The food is consistently good and the meat is so tender. Try the papdi chaat - it's actually really tasty and has all the good stuff on it! Also I really liked their daal soup and chicken hot and sour. Tastes just like my moms food here. The food always comes out fresh, get the naan! The butter chicken is delicious and so is the ghosth (lamb) vindaloo. And their spicy is actually spicy so be careful! If you want an authentic dish that is fresh and flavorful, this is totally the place to go.
