SWE (Society of Women Engineers) met on October 16th for their Rock Candy challenge to see who could make the "best" regular rock candy and/or experimental rock candy. Here are some pictures of the winner and other contestants. Anika B. won the $25 gift certificate to the Cheesecake Factory. At SWE’s Thursday, November 19th meeting at 3 pm via Zoom, they will have guest speakers Cynthia Maley and Tom Watson from DRS Daylight Solutions (a local company who's Quantum cascade la...ser technology is customized to the scientific, life science, defense, and industrial communities). They will talk about what their company does as well as how young girls can navigate from middle school to the engineering field.
