The Texel Group has acquired a 50% interest in Meridian, which will continue to operate in the USA as Meridian Finance Group under the leadership of its founder and president Gary Mendell. Together Texel and Meridian work with every credit insurance and political risk underwriter in the USA, Europe, Bermuda, Singapore, Africa, and the Middle East including insurance companies, Lloyd’s of London, and government export credit agencies. Our mission is to help our clients manage their credit risks, increase sales, monetize their receivables, and otherwise conduct trade more profitably. Washington DC - 4 December 2015: The charter of the Export-Import Bank of the U.S. has been reauthorized by Congress. Overcoming political opposition which had allowed the agency's charter to lapse earlier this year, bipartisan majorities in the Senate and the House of Representatives voted this week to reauthorize the agency through FY 2019. Meridian Finance Group is one of Ex-Im Bank's most active private-sector partners and we look forward to the resumption of full operations at the agency in the very near future.
