Pictured below are Officers Torres and Baxter with their K-9's, Hardy and Xoro! A little bit about Officer Baxter and K-9 Xoro (pictured on the right): Officer Baxter has been with the Menlo Park Police Department since 2006. He is currently assigned to patrol. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science, and is also a licensed Paramedic and Explosive Ordinance First Responder. He is currently working on training K-9 Xoro to be an Explosive Ordinance Detection K9! K-9 Xoro is a 3-year-old German Shepard trained in Search & Apprehension and Tracking.

Brody is quite a survivor. His story was the inspiration for The Pawzitive Company to be the kind of business that gives back to dogs in need! Visit them at Paws for Paws on August 25th. Why is this Newfoundland mix smiling from ear to ear? He just found out that Facebook Community is sponsoring a fun and exciting kid zone at this year's Paws for Paws! Newfoundlands are known for their gentleness and patience with tiny humans. Bring your own gentle giant and their adopted little people out to meet our K9s on August 25th from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. with a special early bird doggy yoga session beginning at 8.

We are excited to announce that the Second Annual Paws for Paws walk raised $6000 for Menlo Park Police Department's K-9 program and the Humane Society's efforts in Hurricane Harvey.
