City of Menifee commission and committee applications are still open! We are continuing our series highlighting each commission and committee to help community ...members better understand their purpose and responsibilities. Today's focus is the Parks, Recreation and Trails Commission (PRTC). Members of this commission receive updates on new parks and capital improvement programs, including the installation of shade structures, sport court resurfacing, and installations and upgrades to play structures. Members of the PRTC make recommendations to the City Council regarding projects such as the Central Park Amphitheater, Quimby Credits, and parkland dedications. Volunteers commissioners also have the opportunity to serve on the Menifee Citizens Advisory Committee (MCAC). The four City of Menifee commissions and committees each appoint two members to serve on MCAC for a two-year term. If you are interested in being a member of the Parks, Recreation and Trails Commission, applications will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on December 14, 2020 and positions will be filled in January 2021. The Theater/Bowling center damage looks worse than it really is. That whole front section of forms without concrete isn’t salvageable as far as I’m concerned. When work eventually re starts, the front section without concrete will have to be replaced. It’s too warped.

A very important message from Lake Elsinore City Council Member Tim Sheridan for the residents of Canyon Hills- I am very pleased to announce that the City of L...ake Elsinore will be embarking on a program to repair sidewalks in Canyon Hills. As you may know, sidewalk repair in Canyon Hills has been an issue for many years for homeowners, the HOA and the City. In fact, when I began my campaign for office in 2018, it was one of the main issues that homeowners would raise with me when I was knocking doors. After I took office, I promised to do everything I could to address the situation. Now, we’ve done so. I am going to be meeting during lunch today - Tuesday, October 27 - with the Canyon Hills HOA Board via Zoom to outline the general plan. On Thursday evening, October 29, I will be hosting a Town Hall meeting for Canyon Hills’ residents to go over the Plan in more detail. City Staff will participate in the Town Hall as well to answer any questions that residents may have. All told, the Plan will be completed in 5 phases with the first two phases starting at the beginning of November and lasting for about a month. I want to thank Canyon Hills’ HOA Board Member Lori Michel and Canyon Hills’ HOA manager Kelley Aranda who have both been at the forefront of this issue for their work! There will be more information about the Town Hall meeting later today, tomorrow and Thursday on Social Media - please look for it. I hope you can join us. Thank you!
