The Sheehan Adopt a Family Project, a charitable organization has accomplished so much with your support including: opening 2 computer labs, partnering with the Vikings to help feed over 12,000 people, and given away over 4500 Vikings toys at 9 children’s Holiday parties. SAF has also given away over 250 backpacks filled with toiletries and clothes for children in need and put 75 computers into children’s hands who had no access otherwise to technology. Every cent of what we ...have raised went directly into the hands of the needy, with all administrative costs costs covered within our family. SAF's goal has moved from only adopting 20 plus families over the Holidays (giving holiday gifts of food, toys and clothing) to ALSO taking a more direct action to prevent vulnerable kids from ever becoming homeless. For the past 3 years, SAF has been getting technology into the hands of the most vulnerable kids. Monetary donations will be used to continue to feed families and bring them toys, as well as purchase or re purpose laptops for the city’s most at risk youth youth. In a vast changing world edging closer and closer in the advancement of technology, many people, especially those in impoverished communities are continuing to be left behind in this fast moving world. Our 3rd lab is based in rural Arusha, Tanzania, where locals must travel 35 miles for access to a library and computers.
