It's natural for us to get lost in the future or the past and it can be helpful to bring it back to the NOW. Our minds are wired for survival and our brains naturally float to futuristic or past focused type of thoughts. When we practice mindfulness, we are RETRAINING and REWIRING our brains to hang out in the present. What helps keep you grounded in the now?

MANAGING LIFE TRANSITIONS Virtual Workshop: June 1 at 6PM PT. Transitions are hard and can make us feel like we’ve lost our footing. At times, they can leave us feeling helpless and out of control, yet we are constantly in a state of transition. Some come with plenty of warning - like graduating from school, or a wedding you’ve been planning for a year - but that doesn’t necessarily mean that they happen smoothly. Some transitions may take us by surprise and move us into a new life mode without much planning or time to prepare mentally. Our online workshop on Monday, will focus on centering ourselves during times of transition so we can approach those changes smoothly and with reflection. #transition #transitions #lifetransitions #lifecycle #healing #holistichealth #mentalhealth #stress #coping #copingwithchange

Gratitude Alert! Today we are grateful for our loved ones who help keep us sane through hard times. Take a moment to think about the ones you rely on and confide in when times get tough. Reach out and *tell them* you appreciate and love them - maybe even share with them *why* you appreciate them. This is something you can do every day! Start with..."I appreciate you when you" OR "I appreciate you because..." ... Not only will you make someone feel appreciated and loved, it actually helps YOU feel better too! Bonus: When you’re done expressing gratitude for your human friends, give your furry pals an extra scratch or two so they’re feeling all the love too! See more

The #selfcare hashtag on Instagram has over 28 MILLION posts. We love seeing people openly discuss personal health and wellness and sharing ideas for self care, but with countless influencers, brands, and companies also using the idea of self care to promote products, it's important to remember that while self care *can* include purchasing products or services to aid you, it does not *have* to include purchasing, posting, or proving anything to anyone. Self care can be as sim...ple as saying *yes* to things that are GOOD for you, and saying *no* to things that are not good for you. It can be waking up 20 minutes earlier in order to journal, or giving yourself permission to sleep in 20 minutes longer for some much needed rest. Self care is a concept some of us have been practicing for years, while others may just now be becoming more aware of their own needs and how to nurture them. Wherever you are in your self care journey or habits is a-OKAY and not to be judged by anyone other than you at the end of the day. Your self care is essential. Your self care is for YOU. It does not have to be beautiful. It does not have to follow who or what is trending. If you ever need tips to help foster your self care, we are always here and happy to share ideas or answer questions. Take good care of yourself, friends - you are worth it! See more
