BLENDING GREYS If you’ve at in my chair, you’ve heard me gush over your natural (grey) highlights. Quarantine growout has helped some of my clients finally see how pretty their natural patterns are. Looking at grey hair thru a 4-5 window rather than a 1/2-1 inch window is much more flattering My client has a pretty bold natural money piece that she wanted to gracefully grow out but she wasn’t ready to grow out all of her color yet. So I balayage her hair, not touching ...her hairline at all. Switched her from being a level 5/6 permanent color to a level 7 semi permanent base color using 13v to cover her greys at her Mohawk area. 100% full translucent coverage then it will start fading and her growout will blend effortlessly with the color until we can do just a base in another 8 weeks! We were doing her hair for every 4 weeks ya’ll. Now transitions like this take time and we’ve been on this journey for almost 2 years now trying to find what works best for her hair, lifestyle, goals.
