Bathrooms at home get a lot of traffic, it’s no wonder they break from time to time. Luckily, there are a number of bathroom problems that are easy to solve on your own. Here are some of the most common bathroom problems and tips on how to fix them. ... This is usually caused by hard water build up on the little holes in your shower. Luckily, this is very easy to fix using materials that are already found in your house. All you need is white vinegar, a sandwich bag and some rubber bands. First fill the sandwich bag halfway with vinegar. Submerge the shower head with the vinegar-filled plastic baggie and secure it with a few rubber bands or a twist tie. Let the shower head soak for at least 3 hours or leaver overnight. Remove the baggie around the shower head. Use a soft brush to scrub down the holes before turning on the water. The shower head should be working after this. This is another easy fix. The best solution to a slippery shower floor is to install a bath mat or tub mat. You can just go to any hardware or grocery to buy these anti-slip devices. In most cases, you just remove them from their packaging and place them on a good spot on your shower floor or tub. This should prevent you from slipping. There are also anti-sprays and kits that have instructions on how to make surfaces less slippery when wet. Before you call a plumber, head to the hardware store and buy a Zip-It tool and give it a try. This tool is very easy to use. It looks like a giant zip tie and you push it as far as you can inside the drain. Once it’s all in, you pull it out and lots of hair and gunk will go up with it. Wipe off the gunk and hair and then repeat the process until the tool comes up clean. Run hot water down the drain and you should be good again. Tightening the bolts on your toilet seat every couple of days can be very annoying. A good solution to this problem is to get a toilet seat tightening kit. This is an inexpensive kit that you can buy at around $10 and will solve your wobbly seat right away. It comes with a special tool that can keep nuts and bolts secure. It takes about 15 minutes to straighten toilet seats and will solve your problem without buying a new seat. The first thing you need to do when this happens to you is to tighten the packing nut. This is usually a 2-minute job and takes care of most leaks. You might need to replace the valve if it doesn’t work or call a plumber.

Many of us are stuck at home due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. For many of us, there is very little to do except to work if you’re remote working, do chores and to relax. You might find that even after doing all of that, there’s still some time on your hands. If you’re wondering how to make time fly faster, we suggest that you finally organize your home to make it more efficient. Here are some quick smart approaches for home org...anization. One of the reasons why there is a lot of clutter at home is because it’s hard to stay organized. For instance, you might be keeping your laundry basket inside your closet. Instead of doing this, put it in a convenient location in the room so that you can simply toss your dirty laundry. Opt for open containers for things you use all the time like toiletries and cooking supplies. Invest in a garbage top where you only need to press on a pedal to pop the lid. Purging and organizing go hand in hand. Whether you like it or not, there will be many items in your belongings that you don’t use anymore. If you don’t see yourself using it in 6 months, donate or throw it away. But don’t start your purge before buying new storage containers. Once you’re down to the essentials, buy storage bins and boxes. Clearly label a box with your extras so that you can donate usable goods to charity. If your room still looks messy even after you’ve purged, organized and stored, it means that your system is not working. It should only take you around 15 minutes to tidy up. Since you’ve already purged your belongings, the next step is to categorize your stuff according to use or occasion and store them in open containers. ’ All drawers in your house should have a purpose and organization. Avoid designating a drawer as a catchall for everything. Once you have a catchall drawer, you’re going to forget about organization and you’re going to end up in a cluttered mess again. Flat surfaces like your dining room table, entryway table and kitchen tables tend to be clutter hotspots. The best way to avoid this is to make it a habit to tidy these surfaces before going to bed. If you can’t remember to do this, an alternative is to block clutter hot spots. For instance you can place a big vase on your entryway table so that people won’t make it a dumping zone. Organizing a home does not take a lot of skill. It does take a lot of patience and will power to go through the whole project. Get in the habit of tidying up too. Once this behavior become automatic, your home will always look organized and de-cluttered without too much effort.
