Although the presidential election was too close for comfort, I am hopeful that the future looks brighter with President-Elect and Vice President-Elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris taking office TODAY. I am proud to be one of the numerous individuals who helped get out the vote, and I'm optimistic in our country to BUILD BACK BETTER.

Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while also acknowledging that the fight for equality continues. If you can’t fly then run. If you can’t run then walk. If you can’t walk then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward.

Myron Kofi Batsa’s Favorite Thing of 2020: Creative Interpretation One of my favorite things to do as a child, along with my brother and seven cousins, was to travel to Minnesota for the summers and stay with our aunt. We were from all over, so staying together for the entire summer was such an amazing experience. Every weekend, she would take us to a different museum. She would also give us a daily art assignment, but we had to choose our own medium to show off our creative interpretation. She was our very own Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus. I gained such an appreciation for the amount of soul you have to put into creating your own art.

We took a job called Destination Crenshaw with very little notice and quite a large workload. But it's in times like these that a real team really shines. Team members' ability to get the job done efficiently and correctly under time pressure is inspiring to watch. We rose to the challenge and delivered a great event to an ecstatic client. In the end, all the stress and late nights were worth it. Anything else you’d like to share? The events world is very difficult to categorize and even harder to explain. We create once-in-a-lifetime experiences for a few hours or a few days, and we do this for any and every type of client imaginable. One day we are throwing a wedding in Palm Springs, and another day we are building set pieces for Star Wars. It's the versatility and attention to detail that makes or breaks events. I'm so proud to be a part of a team that doesn't cut corners, doesn't settle for "looks pretty alright," and only believes in "Above and Beyond."
