How to grow your mediation business? Most mediators are solopreneurs/freelancers. A one-man show handling mediation cases, marketing, sales, accounting. But time and effort are limited. You can NOT grow by working more. The only option left is to get more paying cases and change your pricing model. You charge higher prices; from hourly to flat. Those paying clients are out there looking for you. Just put on the right glasses and look around.... Not convinced? Search for divorce mediation prices: you will find mediators charging $90/hour while other mediators charge $3000+ per case. You can't explain this just by the years of experience, training, and certificates. it's a mindset! How you price your services is not dictated only by the market (i.e. how much other mediators charge). It's the result of your deeply held beliefs, attitudes, and assumptions; those drive how your price. If you believe you deserve to be paid $90/hr, you will ask for that price. it's your ceiling. If you believe you should be paid more, you will ask for more and you will do whatever it takes to make it a reality Just look around and observe professional services providers price's models Do you agree? #mediation #business #mediators #arbitration #disputeresolution #lawyers #lawyer #attorney

Why people hire you as a mediator? Mainly for 2 reasons: 1- They know you exist. They are aware of you and your professional mediation services. They know, via your message, what’s your offering: What’s it? and Who is't for? ... They see you because you are visible, and you show up to your potential clients. a. If someone is giving you his attention, treat it with extreme care. It’s getting hard to get attention from people in this crowded marketplace! b. And Visible doesn’t mean be visible by everyone! Just remember that the best-selling author is being read by no more than 1% of all Americans! Everything relative, Mediator should be specific about her/his audience. 2- They trust you: trust gained through experience, referrals, or social proof. Mediator’s reputation is his most valuable asset. a. It’s totally normal that some people won’t trust you. We can’t be trusted by everybody. Another reason to focus on a specific audience. Do you agree with these two reasons? And what are you doing to be visible and earn trust #mediation #business #mediators #arbitration #disputeresolution #lawyers # #law #lawyer #lawfirm #attorney #familylaw #mediator

Mediator's Mission & Income Mediators have a mission: they have people out there that need their help. But no one can help them but mediators (even the judicial system, in most cases, can’t help them .. it doesn’t address their deep pains)... without mediators’ help, they're never going to fix their biggest problems. without mediators’ help, these people are going to stay stuck . Now, if the mediation business isn't thriving, people will never going to find the best mediators and that's a huge tragedy. So it's not just about mediators’ income; it's about the client's future how many people are going unserved because mediators can't get clients? That's a tragedy. Mediators should have a thriving business to be able to promote mediation and help people. Making the decision to get divorced is undeniably a tough one. If you’re feeling alone, know that a divorce occurs roughly every 36 seconds in America. This equates to about 2,400 divorces per day, 16,800 divorces per week, and 876,000 divorces per year. You are certainly not alone.... Arguably, the most stressful and difficult part of any divorce is ensuring that your children experience has little disruption to their lives as possible. Unfortunately, the stats are not encouraging. Half of all American children will witness their parent’s divorce. Teens in this situation are 300% more likely to require psychological help than those in intact, two parent families. Children of divorced parents are also more likely to experience physical ailments, such as injury, asthma, headaches and speech impediments. #mediation #separation #divorce #alimony #arbitration

What kinds of cases are best suited for mediation? Mediation cases are settled by a neutral third party helping the disputants find a mutually agreeable solution to their problem. Parties are not always represented by attorneys they are placing their faith in a trained mediator to help them stay in control of the situation and forge a path to mutual agreement. Most mediation cases are civil matters where no law enforcement or criminal charges are involved. As long as both p...arties agree to mediation, any civil case can be mediated. Some examples of cases eligible for mediation include: * Small claims disputes * Contract violations * Neighbor disputes * Landlord/tenant disputes * Divorce * Child custody and/or support * Family disputes * Business disputes A few non-violent criminal cases, such as various forms of non-physical harassment, can also be mediated. #mediation #adr #arbitration #lawyer #attorney #lawyers #hr #family #attorneys #legalprofession #divorce #lawfirm #civil #workplace #management

7 Steps to Handle Workplace Conflicts Like a True Professional https://lttr.ai/QU6X

You may be familiar with the saying: In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes. But in our opinion, you can also be certain that when people are forced to interact whether in a family, at work, or just walking on the same street disputes will happen. It is human nature to be defensive of one’s space, property, resources and opportunities. And no matter how far we advance as a society, we will never outgrow the instinct to make decisions based... on emotion. These emotional thought processes often prompt people to try and find justice for their issues in the court system. But not everyone has equal access to court intervention; fees can be crippling. You can easily spend more than $20,000 before you even step foot in court. Not to mention the amount of time court proceedings can eat away. People short on money and time need another outlet to resolve disputes. Fortunately, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provides a more financially conservative answer to the disputes that inevitably arise in society. https://mediatorselect.com//alternative-dispute-resolutio/

How to Track the ROI of Your Online Marketing Advertising Campaigns? #mediation #adr #arbitration #training #course #program #education #lawyer #attorney #lawyers #hr

What's wrong with this marketing for mediation service providers? ==> throwing money away with an ROI = 0! To make it clearer, try a search for: "free mediation service Los Angeles" (so I’m looking for a pro bono mediator in Los Angeles)... You will get 3 ads totally irrelevant to my search intent (including the 2nd one because it's actually a paid service!) Notice here that I’m looking for a FREE service: Google was smart enough to show me the link to the community mediation program (which is probably giving free mediation service). But the advertisers are ignoring my intention: I’m looking for a free service. Again, if I click on one of the paid ads, Google gets paid and advertisers are throwing away money! the first rule in a PPC is the RELEVANCE of the result to the searched term. more details in this article==> https://rcl.ink/meh #mediation #adr #arbitration #training #lawyer #attorney #lawyers #hr #marketing #digitalmarketing

Mediators-Trainers: What's the channel you are using most to get students into your mediation training class (online or in class)? - Word of mouth - Sending letters - Phone calls (cold calls)... - Posting flyers in places where prospects might be - Posting on social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook etc.) - Buying a spot ad on specific mediation portals - Including a paid link in newsletters - Emailing a contact list Here's what was used for Steve's class: https://rcl.ink/meh #mediation #adr #arbitration #training #course #program #education #lawyer #attorney #lawyers #hr

It all started when I received an email from Steven asking me to spread the word about his upcoming mediation training. He got awesome testimonials! People are enjoying his training. I could have published a post on my LinkedIn page or Twitter, but I knew that I didn’t have many connections based in or close to where the training is taking place. My social media post will reach people who are either not interested or too far away from the location. Basic and advanced mediation training are both very niche. Not everybody is considering taking a mediation course: it’s not like meditation where thousands of people are lining up for classes every day.
