Update: BFL is still open and operational for your travel needs. Passengers are encouraged to check with their airline for any potential schedule changes before heading to the airport. Our custodial staff has always been very attentive to our terminal, but they are taking extra measures to sanitize all hard surfaces multiply times per day. Exciting things are happening here at BFL! We are installing a "new to us" jetbridge to help accommodate new air service. This jetbridge was at the Sacramento Airport, but was reconditioned in Indianapolis before coming to Meadows Field Airport. Attendance by friends and family members welcoming last week’s @honorflightkerncounty event was a memorable patriotic experience for everyone in attendance. While both the non-profit organizers and the airport had plans in place for parking validations, the public’s response of support for the returning veterans was the larger than all previous events. We apologize for the equipment failures that added to the wait. We will endeavor to develop a better system next time or include options for remote parking nearby. The generosity of Kern County was evident at today's Ready-Set Back 2 School Health & Wellness Fair! We're proud to get to partner with many local agencies handing out school supplies and back-to-school essentials to the youth in our community.
