And while we may not be able to meet face-to-face, this virtual Tribute Day provides an amazing opportunity for more Lions Club members to view and take part in our annual recognitions than ever before. Vandenberg Village Lions Host Chew and Chat For the past several years, our club members have hosted a BBQ and social visit at the Lompoc Valley Medical’s Com...prehensive Care Center. Club members barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs and provided side dishes and desserts. Obviously with COVID-19 restrictions, the on-site event could not take place this year. So we consulted with the staff and asked what we could do instead. Our club donated $175 to fund the event so that the in-house staff could prepare the food to comply with current protocols. We sincerely missed interacting with the wonderful residents and hard-working staff but...we'll be back! See more
