Fact Friday: These statistics are horrific, and they haven’t changed in decades. Imagine watching your child slowly lose the ability to walk, talk, see, hear, swallow and breath....all while being cognitively aware. And as a parent being told that there is absolutely nothing you can do. It’s a pain beyond description, and the reason we continue to fight. Help us Shine a Light on the need for effective treatments by sharing these statistics. ***Thank you to our friends at Defeat DIPG for the graphic

The association’s award announcement notes that the team has published 183 manuscripts, submitted 21 patent applications, created a new clinical trials network and generated more than $90 million in research funding. Throwback Thursday to Party With a Purpose 2013 - Cinco De Macky! So much as changed since throwing these relatively simple, daytime, family-friendly, outdoor parties. Macky’s friends will be graduating high school this year, while the others are in college. The event has grown and morphed to a themed, night-time extravaganza. We have learned so much in the past 8 years - both about running a foundation and about DIPG/pediatric brain cancer. And in that time you have helped raise over $4 million dollars for research! But one thing hasn’t changed. We still don’t have a viable therapy for DIPG - the one that will give children HOPE. We hope you’ll stick with us in the year(s) to come, attend our events, and help us raise awareness and funding for this horrific disease. YOU are the key to HOPE.
