Well, Fall is still trying to make inroads here in JT. Today’s forecast is 79 and tomorrow’s is 53 and a chance of rain. Come on Fall, you can do it! In this week’s service we remember Little Sister Magdeleine of Jesus, foundress of the Little Sisters of Jesus. She is another of our fellow saints who realized her call later in life, a reminder of how persistent our God is in nurturing each person’s vocation Set aside a few minutes and be blessed.... ALMIGHTY God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage; We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favour and glad to do thy will. Bless our land with honourable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogancy, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues. Endue w...ith the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. As you may know, we usually hold a separate All Souls Day Mass for the commemoration of the Faithful Departed. This year we celebrate the Allhallowtide on All S...aints Day - tomorrow, Sunday 1st November. Well Fall is making slow progress here in Joshua Tree ... we're in the low 80's next week with mornings in the 60's. I'm envious of the snow flurries Bob Skaggs reported from The Ranch.
