Elnaz Mayeh is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA and then earned a Master’s Degree from... Pepperdine University. With an emphasis in solution based psychotherapy, Elnaz has specialty focuses in treating mood disorders, family systems and couples work as well as working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to being one of our finest Primary Therapists, Elnaz is also our Neurofeedback Practitioner and provides a non-invasive, evidence based modality for our participants struggling with mental health disorders such as anxiety and ADHD. We asked Elnaz what are a few benefits to seeking treatment for addiction and mental health: There are many obvious benefits to treatment including psychiatric and medical stabilization, clinical interventions, and peer support. One benefit that is not often discussed, yet the most obvious, is the importance of removing oneself, for a period of time, from the toxic environment contributing to the alcohol and drug abuse.
