"Your class also has arrived at an important time in history. We at the GSB are adapting - rethinking our teaching, investing in technology, figuring out how to... live and interact in a constrained world. We are pushing forward on how we educate, how we combat racism, and how we tackle societal inequities. All of you will be part of this work as members of the school. It is also a time when the world needs great leadership. Each of you is here because we believe that you have the potential to be a great leader at a time when the world needs great leaders. You didn't choose these circumstances, you only get to choose what you make of them. This year, we’re looking to you to model the leadership you’ve come here to develop. Welcome to Stanford!"
