Peach trees are in full bloom now. Warm weather has turned the peach grove pink with blossoms. Apple trees are next to bloom. Happy Easter to all!

Winter is waning and spring is around the corner, are you preparing your garden yet? Perhaps you have cool weather veggies in the ground. All you pruning is done, we are cleaning up the cuttings and chipping the clippings. Getting the farm ready for the spring gardens. I ran across this You Tube video about composting. I have lots of wood chips to breakdown and can't wait to get this started. It has been snowing and raining off and on all day at the farm. The snow is sticking mainly above 5000 feet. Since we are at 4500 ft we are only getting a dusting. What snow that did fall earlier melted quickly. It just stated snowing again and this looks to be sticking for a while. We are still under an evacuation warning for possible flash floods, last nights snow has put leaving at bay for now. Beautiful bobcat came out to hunt for some breakfast earlier and I was able to capture a few pictures with my iPhone. My big cameras are packed for evacuation if we have to leave quickly. Be safe and be warm, wherever you are.

Winter has set in at Mazzullis Oak Glen Creek Farm. We are pruning and clearing brush in preparation for next season. Today we woke up to a couple inches of snow. While the first snow usually melts fast, this time it's sticking around, and it has been snowing off and on all day. Looks like we may get more tonight.
