Happy May! We are practicing perseverance! Training for your black belt or any other goal you have can be fun and rewarding but there are some days when the pool on a hot day sounds better than a sweaty uniform or hanging with friends seems more appealing than getting a good workout in, but through perseverance, we get to class, even on the hard days and continue working towards our goals. Perseverance is a very important word in our training because earning a black belt is not easy and it is that drive that keeps us trying our best and not giving up.

Parents night out is back! This Friday, May 7th we will have our first parents night out since last year! it will be 5-9pm. Arts, crafts, games, and pizza outdoors and then a movie inside. Few spots left! Kids can join Ms. Yuli while you take mom out! https://member-site.net/?EV-Hxmmmpx-iwbih

With kids coming back to activities, we are finding that some are anxious and nervous about being exposed to sports (especially kids between 4-6 years old). Here’s some pictures of Ms. Ella working with a little girl that was feeling extra nervous about being in class. Not only did Ms. Ella get her back in class, kept her in class, but they came up with their own coping mechanism for her anxiety... Take a deep breath Hands up Wiggles those worries away ... When I came outside to see this, I almost cried! Ms. Ella has come to me about coping through the stress of working and keeping up with school, friends and sanity through this year, and to see her turning that around and teaching others to cope as well made me so happy!
