Is your vehicle winterized? Maintenance tips for cold weather: 1. Test antifreeze protection & PH level:~"Antifreeze", the name says it all. It prevents the engines coolant from freezing. Testing the antifreeze strength measure's it's PH level to make sure it will protect in cold weather. Make sure filled to proper level and inspect coolant reservoir bucket level as well.... 2. Load test battery:~ Colder temperatures make it harder for engines to start and require a battery delivering the most power it can. In battery language it's called "cold cranking amps". 3. Inspect all exterior lights:~Exterior lights needed during foggy, overcast and rainy days for safe driving. 4. Inspect oil level and condition: ~Cold weather starts can be easier on your engine if oil is clean by helping it flow freer at very low outside temperatures. 5. Inspect all drive belts and hoses for cracks, bulges, leaks, etc. to prevent breakdowns. 6. Wiper blades: ~Test wiper blades for proper operation and and window clearing. 7. Inspect tires for tire depth, wear, cracking and age. ~Tires are considered "of age" after 6 years or older. Proper air pressure is also important. 8. Inspect all other fluid levels and condition, such as transmission fluid, brake and power steering fluid, differential and transfer case.
