Our Southern California Client in Burbank is a is a leading distributor for fluid control systems, fluid filtration systems & fluid handling products and is looking for a Manager, Supplier and Product Data professional. (LOCAL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CANDIDATES ONLY) The Manager, Supplier and Product Data will be responsible for leading a team of information analysts to set up and manage all aspects of product and supplier data including part number definition, item set up and ...product classification as well as regional, national and customer-specific pricing profiles. In addition, this role is responsible for: Implementing pricing updates within timeliness and quality objectives Achieving service response levels for Quick Item Add process Driving determination and implementation of lean process flows and practices Streamlining system structure and pricing practices Planning and managing departmental resources and activities to support the successful integration of acquisitions within agreed time constraints Creating and maintaining vendor price sheets and specially quoted pricing Management reporting The ideal person to fill this role: Will be a "working manager" comfortable with taking on a share of the load as well as with managing the team. Will own product and supplier data, including pricing information and supporting systems, including database management, pricing management tools and data mining/reporting Will effectively work with Sales and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate collection, understanding and implementation of product data and price changes Translate strategic direction into tangible action plans and have the ability to execute to Plan Experienced at managing system improvements, including project definition, functional specifications, system and process testing and roll-out. Contract Administrator - Contra Costa County, CA If you have contracts administration experience related to engineered equipment purchasing, projects and services, we would like to speak with you. In this position you will be responsible to implements strategies to minimize risk in contracting processes to support operating components’ service requirements. This would include recognizing appropriate contracting strategies, given project or service requirements (e.g. lump sum..., T & M), developing awareness of associated contracting risks, and qualifying contractors to assure appropriate criteria are adequately addressed. Key Responsibilities: Participate in and lead planning processes to identify upcoming needs. Communicates with internal stakeholders regarding their needs and solicit feedback and participation. Implement processes reflecting consistency with company’s procurement philosophies and related policies. Manage certificate of insurance and rate schedule change processes Qualify/pre-qualify contractors to assurance capabilities in areas such as safety and health, financial well-being (e.g. bonding capability), labor and equipment rates, employment/resource levels, licenses, reference checks and background check policy implementation. Develop approved contractors lists, maintain sub-contractor lists, and work with end users in scope development as appropriate. Negotiate key commercial terms and conditions. Analyzes RFQ packages and labor rates. Develops awareness of associated risks with key stakeholders. Liaise with Legal and Risk Management staffs as required to ensure contractual terms and conditions are acceptable and serve to minimize risk. Create purchase orders to release work. Manage lien waivers and progress payment processes. Manage records retention as required. Monitor contractor performance. Utilize existing systems to manage contracts and related information. Track and documents scope of work changes. Communicate with contractors as focal point for ongoing issue resolution, including warranty issues. Provide work leadership and process mentoring to subordinate contract administrators and other Procurement personnel. Qualifications: Minimum undergraduate degree in business administration or related discipline required. Minimum 5 years procurement contract administration experience required. Minimum 2 years SAP experience preferred
