QUARANTINE & MENTAL CHECK IN: How is everyone doing?! . I know we're all cycling through a wide range of emotions right now-- from frustration, to anxiety and sadness-- all of which are perfectly normal and OK. If it ever gets too intense, here are 5 things you can do at home to relax and alleviate stress:... . . Organize your space-- A cluttered house is a cluttered mind, and vice versa. Too much stuff can be overwhelming. The remedy? Turn on Marie Condo on Netflix and get rid of old clothes, books and papers. There is a thoughtful way to dispose of items that no longer serve us. The result? You'll feel happier by only keeping items that spark joy for you. And things will be easier to find! . . Meditation, Yoga & Breath-work-- Overwhelming feelings show us what needs a little extra attention in our lives. Slow down to figure out what that is. Begin or end the day by closing your eyes and listening to the rise and fall of your breath. When thoughts come in, acknowledge them and let them pass. Something niggling at you? This might be the key to a breakthrough. Lean into it and see where it goes. Some pretty incredible solutions arise when we check in with ourselves. . . Create Something (for you or someone else!)-- Diverting your attention to making something beautiful is instantly soothing. This could be anything from baked goods, to photographs or paintings, music or cards. That old clunker you bought sitting in your garage is just begging to become masterpiece. Share your work with the ones you love and instantly connect isolated friends and family with joy. That good feeling and sense of purpose helps us navigate through these difficult times. . . Get Out in Nature (Or Travel Virtually)--- Reduce cabin fever by spending sometime outdoors. Good exercise will help you maintain a normal sleep schedule. If you can't drive to a hiking spot, walk around your neighborhood. And if that's not possible, there are several tours you can take virtually. Try the Met Museum in NYC, or Rollercoasters At Disneyland Orlando. There's even a series where you can take train rides around the world. Fun for the whole family! . . Find Ways to Enjoy the Process- A big part of not only surviving a crisis but thriving in it, is finding your why. History shows us that when we find purpose in things, we are more grateful and feel more connected and empowered to make positive changes in our lives and the world. What is this quarantine trying to teach you? Patience? To slow down? To take better care of yourself and others? Find small ways to celebrate your discoveries.

Dear Clients, We are continuing to closely monitor the coronavirus (now named COVID-19) situation. As of Thursday, San Diego County has a total of seven people who have tested positive for COVID-19, two of whom were on repatriation flights from Wuhan, China, ... and are under federal quarantine at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar. It is believed that one will be the county's first case of community spread. With this in mind, if you are sick or have been exposed to some who is, please reschedule or cancel your appointment. MCCS Massage Therapy has asked that we ask the following questions on the day of your service: 1. Have you returned from travel to a Level 3 Travel Health Notice Country within the past 14 days. These countries currently include China, Iran, Italy, and South Korea? 2. Are you experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 including fever, cough, or shortness of breath? 3. Have you been in recent contact with an individual who is currently sick? The Lake Oneill Fitness Center is being proactive in the following ways: 1. From 1400-1600 M-F, we are closing the facility for cleaning using disinfectants that effectively kill viruses including COVID-19. 2. We encourage you to wipe down all equipment after use, and use hand-sanitizing stations upon entering and exiting. 3. We have asked that employees stay home if they are ill in any way. To help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including the coronavirus and flu, follow these important tips: Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Stay home when you are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Individuals with chronic health issues and/or individuals experiencing severe symptoms should be evaluated by a medical professional. Get vaccinated every year Additionally, the California Department of Public Health does not recommend the use of face masks for general prevention and says that handwashing provides better protection from infectious diseases. For further information regarding COVID-19 and to learn about resources available in our area, please visit the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency website at: https://www.sandiegocounty. gov/hhsa/ We thank you for your cooperation and support.
