Chinese American Pioneer Heritage Committee - Bok Kai Festival event held at the Marysville Buddhist Church February 22 and 23, 2020. This event included Historic lost Chinatown photo exhibits from San Jose & Pacific Grove, The Dragon’s Gift - Children’s play by Red Phoenix Rising Youth Theatre, Val Acoba, director, Chinese Railroad Workers Cooking Demonstration with Chef Don Lee, Chinese American Pioneer Dinner which honored leaders who have made, preserved & taught Chinese American History - this year's honorees include Raymond Eng, first Oakland Chinese American councilman, and History And Organizing Workshops. Come to the 2020 New Year’s Party! Come join us at Marysville Buddhist Church’s New Year’s Party, Saturday, January 25, 2020. The fun begins with socializing and a delicious prime rib luncheon served at 12:00 p.m. Don’t miss out on the Dobo-Kai’s famous prime rib; you’re going to love it! There will be cocktails, musical entertainment, good fellowship, a great dessert and some door prizes too. Cost for MBC members will be $20; for non-members the cost is $25. So please, all m...embers of the MBC Sangha come join us on January 25 and please spread the word to all your friends. They are welcome and can enjoy this fun day too. If you do not eat red meat, we will also be offering a serving of roasted chicken. Just let us know when you RSVP what you prefer, prime rib or chicken. It should be a fun afternoon.
