One of our customers ordered a selection of ribbons, different widths, in shades of pink, black and gray. The ribbons became the dress skirt and our PINK Flower Therapy color palette became the bodice. Our dear customers are unendingly inspiring!

These ribbonwork and ribbon embroidery techniques used in the Flower Therapy compositions have been perfected over time, using our hand-dyed silk ribbon. There are a few tricks to achieve perfection... two of which are Spray Starch and Nonwoven Interfacing!

Our response to a color is completely individualistic. This Citrus color palette is full of sunshine.

Claire and I approached Flower Therapy by first pricing the kits we wanted to create, determining how many unique silk ribbon layers could be used for each technique. We made this decision, of course, after multiple fails in the creative process.

We’re developing Flower Therapy for the joy of it, the joy of blending shades of ribbon, the joy of learning new techniques, the joy of making something that doesn’t need to become anything but can if so desired, the joy of using every last drop of ribbon provided, the joy of sparkles.
