If anyone thinks that Forest Lawn founder Hubert Eaton, and his family, was all Forest Lawn and no play, the Vagabond lays that claim to shame. The Vagabond is ...a custom-built, ultra-streamlined, silver-blue semi-truck and trailer combination, considered one of the earliest fifth wheels. Once called a "land yacht", the Vagabond ferried the Eatons and their friends on trips in the Pacific Northwest, Canada, and Mexico. The luxurious and expensive Aerocar trailer was built in 1938 by Curtiss of Coral Gables, Florida, which also built motorcycles and aircraft. It was donated in 1991 to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, where it is displayed in a covered, drive-through portico near the museum's entrance.

Gorgeous location! A must see...

Today we visit Forest Lawn Covina Hills. These images show "The Separation of Land and Water," which is a scene from the Sistine Chapel ceiling. Michelangelo's ...figure of God is full of motion as he soars through the air in this scene from the Book of Genesis. This was one of the final scenes that Michelangelo painted on the ceiling. The mosaic was executed in Pietrasanta, Italy. It was installed in 1975 along with other scenes from the Sistine Chapel. See more
